Pertamina Kerja Keras Salurkan BBM Subsidi Tepat Sasaran

Denpasar - Pertamina Marketing and Trading Director, Hanung Budya, said that Pertamina had worked hard to fulfill its commitment in distributing and monitoring subsidized fuel distribution so it can be on target to fuel stations during press conference at Westin Hotel, Nusa Dua, Bali, on Friday (14/09) morning.

Hanung Budya said that Pertamina had installed IT system, known as Point of Sales (POS) system, at 112 fuel stations (SPBU) in South Kalimantan, and in phases to entire Kalimantan. The next step will be to cover all SPBUs in Indonesia, around 5,000 SPBUs.

The POS system can identify the consumers at SPBU, purchase volume, and purchase time to ensure that the distribution of subsidized fuel at SPBU is at right volume to right target.

Besides, routinely there will be internal audit as well as by the Supreme Audit Agency and Downstream oil and gas regulator (BPH) Migas in subsidized fuel distribution. If during the audit, it is found out that certain subsidized fuel is not distributed to right target, the subsidy won't be reimbursed by the Government.

Regarding BPH statement about there were 170 fuel tank trucks in West Kalimantan that did not reach the SPBUs, Hanung Budya said that Pertamina had not received any official information. During this occasion, Pertamina requested BPH Migas to provide complete information, regarding the location, time, and volume of the suspected subsidized fuel misuse. Pertamina is also open and ready to perform joint investigation with BPH Migas after receiving valid data from BPH Migas.

In every fuel distribution activity, Pertamina has sanction mechanism so that distribution can operate according to rules and regulation, through internal sanction. If there is Pertamina staff or partner who is involved, Pertamina will hand over to the police to be process according to law. As stipulated by Law No. 22 Year 2001 on Oil and Gas, the deviation of subsidized fuel distribution is facing sanction up to 6 years of jail and up to 6 billion rupiah of fine.

The statement is reiterated by Erry Purnomo Hadi, head of the executive board of National Association of Gas Station Owners (Hiswana), and Afandi, general manager of Fuel Retail Marketing Region V. According to Erry and Afandi, Pertamina have developed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in fuel distribution.
