Pertamina Tetap Salurkan Premium di DKI Jakarta
JAKARTA, PT Pertamina (Persero) continues to distribute Premium (subsidized gasoline) in DKI Jakarta area while waiting for the decision for national quota addition, which will be discussed by the Government and the House of Legislatives.
Until 15 September 2012, DKI Jakarta had absorbed 97.5% subsidized fuel quota. With the average demand of 6,000 KL per day, the remaining quota will be enough for the next 7 days. Afterward, based on the coordination between Pertamina, Directorate General of Oil and Gas, and BPH Migas, it has been decided that if the subsidized Premium quota has been used up, Pertamina is still ordered to keep distributing Premium as normal by diverting the remaining quota of Kerosene while waiting for the decision for additional quota, which will be discussed soon by the Government and the House of Legislatives.
VP Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Ali Mundakir, stressed that although PSO fuel quota was at low end, fuel stock nationally is still at safe level, which is around 17 days for Premium and 21 days for Solar. The stock security is Pertamina's contribution as state-owned company that secure national energy security.
Pertamina, he said, upheld the Presidential Decree No.15/2012 regarding Highest Retail Price and Consumers of Certain Types of Fuel in distributing PSO BBM. Referring to the regulation, Pertamina has made every effort to ensure PSO fuel is distributed appropriately, such as implementation of point of sales in Kalimantan, the use of GPS Tracking System on the car fuel tank, and the implementation of automation systems at Terminal Pertamina fuel.
